The Enviromaster 7-gallon dry HEPA vacuum is the right choice when crews need a lighter, more maneuverable unit without sacrificing filtration compliance. It shares the same 1.3 HP bypass motor and 94 CFM airflow as the 9-gallon model — identical suction performance — in a smaller, lighter form factor that is easier to carry up stairs, position in confined spaces, and load into service vans. Filtration meets the same standard as the full-size units: sealed HEPA rated at 99.97% capture of particles down to 0.3 microns, OSHA-compliant for asbestos and lead abatement dry pickup. The polyethylene tank resists chemical exposure and is easy to decontaminate between sites. Made in Newburgh, NY. For contractors running multiple job sites, the 7-gallon format allows per-job staging of equipment without the weight penalty of larger tanks. True HEPA. The Enviromaster® HEPA filter is individually certified at 99.97% efficiency at 0.3 microns using the HOT DOP (Dispersed Oil Particulate) testing method at 100 CFM. This is the standard required by OSHA for remediation work involving asbestos, lead dust, and mold. "HEPA-type" filters sold by other manufacturers are not tested to this standard and do not meet OSHA requirements for regulated hazardous material cleanup.
Yes. The Enviromaster® line meets OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1101 (asbestos in construction) and EPA RRP (Renovation, Repair, and Painting) requirements. The sealed critical filtration system prevents hazardous particulate from being re-released during vacuuming. Always verify state and local regulations, as some jurisdictions impose additional requirements beyond federal standards.
Filter bags (Infiltrator® Enclosed Bags) should be replaced after each project or when approximately two-thirds full — never overfill. The HEPA filter should be inspected after every 10–15 project hours and replaced when airflow drops noticeably or when physical damage is visible (tears, crushed media, compromised gasket). In high-exposure environments such as active asbestos or lead abatement, replace the HEPA filter every 30–50 operating hours. Never attempt to clean or wash a HEPA filter — doing so destroys the media and voids HEPA certification.
Bags are sized by tank capacity. The 5, 7, and 9 Gal models use the 5–9 Gal Infiltrator® Filter Bags (5-Pack). The 15 Gal Poly Wet/Dry (P41512WAF) uses the 15–20 Gal Infiltrator® Filter Bags (5-Pack). The Probe 10 Backpack uses the Backpack Filter Bags (10-Pack). It depends on the model. The 15 Gal Poly Wet/Dry (P41512WAF) is rated for both wet and dry pickup and includes a float pan assembly that automatically shuts off suction when the tank reaches liquid capacity. The 5, 7, and 9 Gal Dry models and the Probe 10 Backpack are dry-only — using them for liquid pickup will damage the motor and void the warranty.
The sealed critical HEPA system is designed for asbestos fibers (friable and non-friable), lead dust and paint chips, mold spores, ceramic dust, aluminum dust, fiberglass, and pharmaceutical-grade fine particulate in controlled environments. Always use proper PPE and follow applicable OSHA and EPA protocols. After regulated asbestos or lead work, the vacuum and all consumables must be decontaminated or disposed of per applicable hazardous waste regulations.
Mastercraft® strongly recommends using only genuine Infiltrator® filter bags and OEM HEPA filters. Third-party consumables may not maintain the sealed critical filtration integrity required for OSHA-compliant hazardous material vacuuming. Their use may void the warranty and compromise regulatory compliance on regulated job sites.
