01 / The efficiency problem

Soot reduces furnace efficiency by up to 15%

A thin layer of soot on a heat exchanger acts as an insulator. Your customer's boiler burns more fuel to deliver the same heat. Cleaning it once a year pays for itself in fuel savings.

15%
02 / The booking window

October is the highest emergency repair month of the year

Technicians who complete annual service visits in September and October stay booked through winter. The ones who show up with the right equipment get called back every year.

Sept peak
03 / The tool gap

A brush doesn't reach the heat exchanger

Manual brushing loosens soot but doesn't contain it. The Sootmaster's HTCR hose seals to the burner inlet and pulls soot directly into the steel tank. No dust, no liability, no callbacks.

How a Sootmaster service call works

Less setup. Less mess. More jobs per day.

1

Connect the HTCR hose

Attach the high-temp cooled residue hose to the burner inlet, heat exchanger port, or flue pipe. The hose is engineered for boiler-temperature environments where standard hoses degrade.

2

94 CFM pulls soot into the sealed tank

The 1 HP motor generates 94 CFM of suction. Soot goes directly into the sealed steel tank with no particulate escape. The heat exchanger, burner chamber, and flue are clear in minutes.

3

Detach and empty outside

The tank detaches from the unit in seconds. Carry it outside and empty it into a waste bag. No soot on the floor, no soot in the air. The job is clean from start to finish.

FAQ

Both units run the same 1 HP, 94 CFM motor with the HTCR hose. The 652M adds UL Listing, a larger cold rolled steel tank (0.75 bushels vs the 641M's 3.5-gallon detachable), and a complete tool kit for cleaning burners, heat exchangers, and flue pipes. If you service commercial boilers or run a fleet and need a UL Listed unit, specify the 652M. For residential and light commercial calls where compact size matters, the 641M is the right choice.
Yes. The Sootmaster is designed for combustion residue across fuel types including fuel oil, natural gas, propane, wood, and coal. The sealed steel tank and HTCR hose handle the fine particulate generated by oil-fired boilers as well as the coarser ash from solid fuel systems.
Both the 641M and 652M include the HTCR High Temp Cooled Residue suction hose (#626562), which is engineered specifically for high-temperature boiler and furnace environments. The 652M also includes a complete tool kit with attachments for reaching burners, cleaning heat exchangers, and servicing flue pipes.
Yes. The steel tank is sealed during operation. Soot is captured inside the tank without recirculating into the room. When the service call is complete, the tank detaches from the unit so you can carry it outside before emptying, keeping the work area clean.
No special circuit is needed. Both models run on 120V with a maximum draw of 7 amps, well within the capacity of any standard 15-amp household or light commercial outlet. You will not be tripping breakers on a service call.
